The Apprentice at the NEC wedding show

My colleague beat me to the first Apprentice post on our sister site Weddingo straight after the programme aired last night.  If you missed the show then Sir Alan Sugar’s apprentices were set their latest task at the NEC National Wedding Show in Birmingham.  I didnt actually make it along to the particular wedding show featured but have exhibited at many National Wedding Shows in the past so I did find it fascinating to watch.  Unfortunately, their task centred around the exhibition of wedding dresses and not wedding stationery with the fantastic creations from Ian Stuart stealing the show.

I spent most of the hour looking out for familiar faces from other wedding stationers at the event and was not surprised to see Jill from Mandalay in one of the shots as her company is a regular exhibitor at the National Wedding Show events in Birmingham and London.  Her five seconds of fame were unfortunately short lived and it is a shame the filming did not pan across the Mandalay exhibition stand because it always looks stunning.  You can view all of Jill’s designs online at Mandalay Bride and there is no better time to look as they are running a mid season sale at the moment with discounts on selected lines until the end of June.
