Thank you for mentioning Piccolo Press. But I wonder if you have seen our "new" web site and the many letterpress examples we show in the Galleries.
We are very busy with letterpress and my team are producing beautiful work.
We will send you some samples if you would be interested to have some actual invitations to get their tactile feel.
With best wishes from Scotland

Matrimonia Press recently produced some beautifully printed stationery for my forthcoming wedding. Their attention to detail was second to none, and the service was fabulous.

I suspect that the lag time for letterpress is in the number of printers who can or are willing to still do letterpress, even with the plates that have to be done. In addition,it may have something to do with Martha Stewart touting the process, even though she misspeaks and puts my teeth on edge. Many people follow her suggestions as though they were lemmings. Not all letterpress is wonderful-and a good thing. It depends on the printer and the font as well as the paper that is used.
