Our new ribbon gate-fold invitations will be launched soon but we are so excited about the range that we couldn’t wait to give you a sneak preview.  I quickly snapped these shots outside our studio before the professional photos are taken next week.  It will probably take a couple of weeks to get this range online because it will be available in a total of 37 different colours and, as with all our designs, we do our best to coordinate the whole range of products.  This means that with so many colours and so many coordinating items there will be a lot of photography to process.

The gentle floral pattern is another feature that coordinates on all the items in this range; its delicate emboss and pealescent reflection catches the light beautifully with understated sophistication.  The texture of the emboss is best seen in the flesh and you can do this by requesting a free sample when the range is online but this is one important element that we hope to capture with the photography.

Perfect Equation

For a funny and unusual way to inform your guests of your forthcoming wedding date, especially if you or your other half is in the teaching profession, these Perfect Equation save the date cards from Prettywild Design get top marks!  The card with your printed details can be removed from the heart clip to be kept in a wallet or stuck on a pin board.  They cost £2.00 each so that will be an A* for design, economics and effort.

This Chinese Double Happiness wedding invitation from Carnethie Design is unique in that it is quite difficult to find invitations with a Chinese theme and the Chinese symbols for ‘Double Happiness’ shows that you are giving your guests more than an invitation, but sharing your vision for your future with them as well.  These invitations won’t cost the earth either in monetary terms or eco terms as they are made from 100% recycled card and the deep red paper is handmade tree free paper.  Invitations in this range cost £2 each and you can have your guests names printed for free.

This Taupe Gatefold Invitation from Vera Wang is the epitome of simple, minimalist elegance.   It features a taupe shimmer gatefold card with the opening offset to the right which is beautifully tied with ribbon, inside is a square of oyster white paper with the wedding details.  There is a design to suit most tastes from traditional to contemporary and I personally love this Red invitation with its gold ink for an opulent Christmas wedding.
  

The Vera Wang wedding stationery is available from just a few outlets in the UK including Harrods.

There will be no mistaking the direction your wedding will be taking if you send these fantastic gothic invitations by Purple Fairy to your guests.  The striking white card with text and distinctive black markings is set on red and black card which is finished off with a bright red ribbon to pull the invite from its red wallet.  They are provided with white postal envelopes for mailing (probably so that you don’t scare the postman!) and are priced at £2.25.  What I really liked when I looked at the website is that Lucie is very honest and open.  She has a page that tells you about her, none of the boring “how I got into making stationery” stuff but the stuff that makes her tick, and in her news page she lets you know what’s happening and how busy she is so that you know when to order.  

These envelopment style invitations from Wedding Writes have been partly lined with a silk pattern to give a wonderfully opulent feel.  When the invitation is closed it is held together with an elasticated bow and also comes with an outer envelope that matches the old-gold coloured invitation card.  There are four silk pattern designs available including a lovely powder blue colour, the invitations cost £4.50 each.  There are menus and place cards available as well, although they don’t have the lovely splash of silk pattern on them unfortunately, but then as Wedding Writes says, the idea stems from the ancient Chinese dynasties where they lined envelopes to give secrecy and opulence to their correspondence, not to menus and place cards!

What better way to launch a new website, a new design (Coach House Red shown above), and a new online ordering facility than with a 10% discount until the month.  That only gives you a couple of weeks to order.

Coach House Red picks up on the trend for wallpaper design patterns on invitation cards with the Damask style leading the race.  I particularly like the claret red double block bow with diamante that adds a splash of vintage chic.  There are a very few wedding invitation companies that are bold enough to focus on the deep claret / burgundy colour which is surprising because it remaims a popular choice of bridal dress colour for an Autumn / Winter wedding.  There are so many items in the range making it easy to coordinate your stationery for the big day.  I do wish Picture Palace would include Table Plans in their portfolio as this is often a stumbling point for many a bridal couple as they struggle to find a design to coordinate with the rest of their stationery.  If the rest of their portfolio is anything to go by they would make a grand job.
